Book Review: The Faerie War (Creepy Hollow #3) by Rachel Morgan

The Faerie War (Creepy Hollow, #3)The Faerie War by Rachel  Morgan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I felt lost at the beginning of this novel. I don’t know if it was just me but that feeling did a great job if conveying the emotions that Ryn and Violet were feeling. Ryn has no idea what has happened to Violet after Lord Draven attacks Creepy Hollow while Violet has no idea about anything at all.The remaining fae plan to band together for one final showdown with Lord Draven. This book is full of surprises and I loved it.After an attack on her home that she holds herself responsible for, Violet takes a potion to help her forget everything. Her boyfriend, family and friends all think she’s dead. Violet doesn’t even know who or what she is. This book did a great job of completing the first part of this series. I can’t wait to read more.

Book Review: The Faerie Prince (Creepy Hollow #2) by Rachel Morgan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh. My. GodI can’t even get over how the first book tore my heart into shreds. I was hoping that this book would make it all better. And it kinda did. Violet is ready to graduate and she’s becoming friends with Ryn again. Everything seems great. Except there’s still secrets that Violet knows nothing about. This book has a cliffhanger ending so you have to have the next book ready and waiting. I love the unique plot and world-building in these novels. Fans of fantasy will love this book.

Fiction Friday- Book Review: The Faerie Guardian (Creepy Hollow #1) by Rachel Morgan

The Faerie Guardian (Creepy Hollow, #1)The Faerie Guardian by Rachel  Morgan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I found a copy of this book online on Smashwords. I’m not going to lie- I had incredibly low expectations simply because the book was free. Except it is absolutely amazing.I love the world-building. This is such a different book. It’s intriguing, it’s mysterious and it is impossible to put this book down! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I thought the romance between Nate and Violet was a bit forced but Nate was a sweet character. This may not deal with the same supernatural creatures but this is my new Harry Potter.

9 Romance Authors You Have to Read

I have a weakness for romance novels and the authors below have some great reads. Here are my recommendations for romance books in the month of love. Because what else is better than curling up with a romance novel?

1) Colleen Hoover- Colleen Hoover writes the kind of books that leave you in hysterical tears because you’re so relieved to have a happy ending after so many feels. I recommend “Slammed” and “Ugly Love” as starters.

2) Gina Robinson- Gina Robinson writes New Adult and Adult novels. My favorite is the Reckless series.

3) Meg Cabot- Meg Cabot writes delights such as the Princess Diaries and Mediator series. Be sure to read her latest in the Mediator series, “Proposal” and” Remembrance” for Valentines Day

4) Sarah Dessen- Can you ever go wrong with a Dessen novel? No! I adored “Along for the Ride” and “Just Listen”

5) Rachel Morgan- Rachel Morgan zaps me into the world of her “Trouble” series. These contemporary romance books are an absolute pleasure to read. Get yourself a copy ASAP.

6) Lisa Kleypas- Lisa Kleypas is my firm favorite and I’ve read her books like thrice already. Her latest historical romance, “Cold-Hearted Rake” is perfect to curl up with on Valentines Day.

7) Nora Roberts- Nora Roberts is great at romance, mystery and the supernatural. Her “Circle” trilogy is great to read, reread and then reread again.

8) Jennifer Gracen- Jennifer Gracen is also a firm favorite of mine. I’m especially taken with “More Than You Know”.

9) Eileen Cook- I love Eileen Cook’s works which focus on everything from ghosts and frenemies to love and mysterious car crashes. Try out “The Almost Truth” for a cute v-day read.
