The Wild Herald by Ron C. Nieto
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The only reason why I’m giving this four stars is because I didn’t read the second book in the series so I was left a bit confused in the beginning. Lily is now the Herald of the Wild Hunt. She is given the task of finding and destroying the horn that summons the Hunt. But is it really wise for Lily to give up the one thing that gives her leverage in this strange new world?
I dragged this book on for as long as possible because I didn’t want it to end. I loved seeing how much Lily has changed since the first book. She is no longer a pawn in a bigger game. She’s braver and more confident.
I don’t know if it’s just me but I really feel like there’s so much more to be told. There should be more. The Faerie Sworn series is incredibly well-written with an intriguing plot and bewitching characters. I am heartbroken to see it end

I normally save all my book-ish stuff for Fiction Friday (unless I’m too impatient or it’s too good to not share immediately). This is one of those times.
April brings with it a large variety of books from a large variety of sources. I’m calling this post a haul instead of TBR because I’m so behind on campus work I don’t even know if I can make it to read these books. Anyway, here they are:
1) Someone Like You by Jennifer Gracen- I love Jennifer Grace’s work. This is a beautiful romance set in New York. I’ve already read it and I can’t wait for you guys to see my review.
2) The Wild Herald by Ron C Nieto- I won this ARC in a Facebook party. Honestly I don’t know much about it such I’ve only read the first book and this is the third but I really can’t wait to see how it all ends!
3) Summer at Rose Island by Holly Martin- Holly Martin writes light-hearted romance books that are impossible NOT to love. I especially like this series with it’s colourful town and it’s cheerful characters.
4) The List by Siobhan Vivian- I’ve been waiting for this book forever. Every year some mean anonymous person posts a list of the prettiest and the ugliest girl in each grade. This book details how the list changes all of these girl’s lives and not for the better.
What are you looking forward to reading in April? Have you read any of these books?
The Wild Hunt by Ron C. Nieto
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I found a free copy of this book on Amazon. Honestly I only read this because of the guy on the cover. Yes, I was interested in the plot but I was supposed to be reading for college until the cover distracted me. Oh well.Lily goes to visit her (strange but lovable) grandmother. However her grandmother’s usual eccentric ways have now become downright crazy. Or is Lily the one losing her mind? Items in the house keep disappearing and reappearing and Lily sees things that aren’t there. However it isn’t long before Lily discovers she isn’t crazy. No, she’s simply meant to be a faerie doctor like her gran. Her now missing gran. Lily struggles to fit in this new world she’s thrust into but she has no way out. Her grandmother’s safety depends on her. Lily joins the mysterious Troy as they search for answers as to what really happened to her grandmother. I thought this book was so intriguing with the different kinds of fae and the two different fae courts. I don’t know much about fae so this was such an adventure to read. Of course the chemistry between Troy and Lily certainly didn’t hurt matters either. This book will entertain any lover of fae and fantasy.
