Waiting on Wednesday: Hello Stranger (The Ravenels #4) by Lisa Kleypas

I love Lisa Kleypas’ historicals and I especially love how dysfunctional the families are. The Ravenels series follows a family of misfits (similar to her “Hathaways” series). However the fourth book in this series, “Hello Stranger” doesn’t really follow a Ravenel- or atleast not one that I’ve seen in previous books. There isn’t a cover yet since the book only releases next year but here’s the synopsis:

Official Synopsis from Goodreads.Com:

New York Times bestselling author Lisa Kleypas delivers a scintillating tale of an unconventional beauty who finds passion with the spy who can’t resist her

A woman who defies her time
Dr. Garrett Gibson, the only female physician in England, is as daring and independent as any man – why not take her pleasures like one? Yet she has never been tempted to embark on an affair, until now. Ethan Ransom, a former detective for Scotland Yard, is as gallant as he is secretive, a rumored assassin whose true loyalties are a mystery. For one exhilarating night, they give in to their potent attraction before becoming strangers again.

A man who breaks every rule
As a Ravenel by-blow spurned by his father, Ethan has little interest in polite society, yet he is captivated by the bold and beautiful Garrett. Despite their vow to resist each other after that sublime night, she is soon drawn into his most dangerous assignment yet. When the mission goes wrong, it will take all of Garrett’s skill and courage to save him. As they face the menace of a treacherous government plot, Ethan is willing to take any risk for the love of the most extraordinary woman he’s ever known.

Waiting on Wednesday: Without Merit by Colleen Hoover

I love Colleen Hoover’s books and her last one, “It Ends With Us” was an absolutely incredible piece of work. It was compelling, it was moving and it was real. There was less romance and more real life and I loved it! I don’t know much about “Without Merit” but I have no doubt that is going to be amazing. The only question is “will it be as amazing as “It Ends With Us”?

Without Merit by Colleen Hoover

Official Synopsis from Goodreads.Com:

In Colleen Hoover’s gripping novel, reminiscent of the bestselling works of Liane Moriarty and Jojo Moyes, a young woman decides to reveal the dark secrets of her seemingly-happy family before she leaves them behind, but when her escape plan fails, she must deal with the staggering consequences of telling the truth.

Waiting on Wednesday: One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake (Three Dark Crowns #2)

I absolutely loved “One Dark Throne” by Kendare Blake. The world was dark but compelling and the story stayed with me long after I finished the book. I especially loved all the twist and turns towards the end of the book. The sequel releases in September and I CAN NOT WAIT!!!
Official Synopsis from Goodreads.com:
The battle for the Crown has begun, but which of the three sisters will prevail?

With the unforgettable events of the Quickening behind them and the Ascension Year underway, all bets are off. Katharine, once the weak and feeble sister, is stronger than ever before. Arsinoe, after discovering the truth about her powers, must figure out how to make her secret talent work in her favor without anyone finding out. And Mirabella, once thought to be the strongest sister of all and the certain Queen Crowned, faces attacks like never before—ones that put those around her in danger she can’t seem to prevent.

In this enthralling sequel to Kendare Blake’s New York Times bestselling Three Dark Crowns, Fennbirn’s deadliest queens must face the one thing standing in their way of the crown: each other

Waiting on Wednesday: Bay of Sighs (The Guardians Trilogy #2) by Nora Roberts

I have a weakness for Nora Roberts books that have characters that need to save the world or else. It’s a storyline that she’s used over and over again (in The Circle Trilogy, Three Sisters Island and others) but she does it so well. I’m especially taken with this series because the characters are so interesting. They’re a group of six people but they all seem to have their own secrets that are hidden both from the reader and the other characters.

Release Date: 14 June 2016

Official Synopsis from Goodreads.com:
To celebrate the rise of their new queen, three goddesses of the moon created three stars, one of fire, one of ice, one of water. But then they fell from the sky, putting the fate of all worlds in danger. And now three women and three men join forces to pick up the pieces…

Mermaid Annika is from the sea, and it is there she must return after her quest to find the stars. New to this world, her purity and beauty are nothing less than breathtaking, along with her graceful athleticism, as her five new friends discovered when they retrieved the fire star.

Now, through space and time, traveler Sawyer King has brought the guardians to the island of Capri, where the water star is hidden. And as he watches Annika in her element, he finds himself drawn to her joyful spirit. But Sawyer knows that if he allows her into his heart, no compass could ever guide him back to solid ground…

And in the darkness, their enemy broods. She lost one star to the guardians, but there is still time for blood to be spilled—the mermaid’s in the water and the traveler’s on the land. For she has forged a dangerous new weapon. Something deadly and unpredictable. Something human

Waiting on Wednesday: It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover

Colleen’s books rip me up inside and make me sob like a baby. But it’s this devastation that makes her happy endings so beautiful. It also makes me doubt that there’s going to be a happy ending but so far she’s never let me down. I’m really looking forward to reading It Ends With Us because I’ve seen snippets on her social media and it seems like such an emotional read. I feel like this might be her best work yet.

Release Date: 2 August 2016

Official Synopsis from Goodreads.com:
Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up. She graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.

Ryle is assertive, stubborn, and maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant and has a total soft spot for Lily; and the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head, but Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his no dating rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.

As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan, her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.

With this bold and deeply personal novel Colleen Hoover delivers a heart-wrenching story that breaks exciting new ground for her as a writer. Combining a captivating romance with a cast of all too human characters, “It Ends with Us” is an unforgettable tale of love that comes at the ultimate price

Waiting on Wednesday: Marrying Winterborne (The Ravenels #2) by Lisa Kleypas

I love Lisa Kleypas’ work especially her historical romance. The Ravenels series reminds me of the Hathaways so I can’t wait to read the next book. I just know it’s going to be a gem. Her writing is flawless and her characters are always so real.

Waiting on Wednesday: With Malice by Eileen Cook

Many, many moons ago I read and reviewed With Malice by Eileen Cook. I loved every single second of it. Sadly the book isn’t out yet. Even though I’ve read I really can’t wait for it to release and I’m so excited to see what other people will think of it.
