The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever by Julia Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I accept that Julia Quinn has great writing. I know that her books have entertaining and lively characters. However there was something about this book that grabbed me and refused to let go. Miranda had been in love with Nigel since the day he assured her that she was not ugly. Despite only being a kid at the time Miranda’s feelings stayed for ages while Nigel went on to become a young, bitter widower. Eventually they end up together but there’s one problem. Nigel is unable to tell Miranda that he loves her.
This is an incredibly sweet read and I wish that we saw more of these characters
