I was given an ARC of this book to review. I thought that this book was great. It draws you in from the very first sentence. There’s a compelling mystery (a few compelling mysteries actually), the book itself is well-written and intriguing. I can’t wait to read more! This book is a gem for all mystery-lovers.

Movie Review: My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2

This is pretty much a movie about my life. Ridiculously close-knit family? Check. Family pushing for you to get a boyfriend? Check. Toula is struggling to connect with her daughter, Paris who keeps trying to push her away. Paris plans on going somewhere far away from her family for college. Meanwhile it is discovered that Toula’s parents are not legally married. I’ve already watched this movie twice. It’s hilarious and totally relatable. Everyone in the family seems to be having their own issues but it’s clear that they are a family that adores each other.

Pierce left England after a scandal ruined his name and his career. He is instantly drawn to soccer coach, Abby. However Abby has been burned in the past and is reluctant to let anyone I’m. I loved seeing characters from the previous book in the series. I especially enjoyed how well-written the characters of Abby and Pierce were. Jennifer Gracen has a knack for creating real characters with real flaws. This is an excellently written book that fans of romance will devour.

Fiction Friday: Book Review- Love, Reality Style by Judith Natellli McLaughlin

Love, Reality StyleLove, Reality Style by Judith Natelli McLaughlin
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Mary Grace reluctantly agrees to wed her boyfriend, Ralph. Ralph, while a great boyfriend, is a character I cannot stand. He’s pretty much a total loser. Mary Grace can do better. Her friends know it and so do I. I loved how despite my intense dislike for Ralph, I found myself liking him (as reluctantly as Mary Grace agreed to his proposal). Ralph isn’t a bad guy. He’s just a very weird one. And then we meet Nick. He’s hot, he’s rich, he’s a TV superstar. What’s not to love?
Mary Grace is also attracted to him initially but she has already agreed to marry Ralph. Will she go through with her wedding?
I love how real these characters were and I especially enjoyed Mary Grace’s fascination with cake. This is a great read for anyone who loves chick-lit.
I especially enjoyed the ending.

Fiction Friday- Book Review: Cinder by Marissa Meyer (The Lunar Chronicles #1)

Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1)Cinder by Marissa Meyer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was hooked from the very beginning. I love the world building here. This book is well-written and impossible to put down. This is a futuristic retelling of the fairytale Cinderella…where Cinderella is a cyborg.
Cinder lives with her evil stepmother, one horrid stepsister and one nice stepsister. She works as a mechanic to help support them. When Cinder’s skills bring Kai to her, trouble begins. Cinder is about to discover more about her mysterious past and her real family. This book was impossible to put down. This entire series needs to be read all at once!
